jack white

I learn new things everyday.
1) Did you know that Jack White has nine older siblings !? Yes. So he is the 10th and the last one in his family. I find that quite mind boggling.
2) Jack White is obsessed with the number THREE - 3. His Stripes colours, red, black, and white, are a group of three. That's just an easy one. His whole life revolves around three. Read the AnOther Man interview and you'll see how special this one is.
Did you know that Jack White is a devout Catholic and he knew that he grew up always wanting to be PASTOR !?!???!?! HUUUUHHHHHHH !???!?!
Well. Thank the Lord that he did not become a pastor but indeed a revolutionary. Apparently, religious people touch all subjects in a more deeper manner. I guess that's why his music is haunting and powerful all the time. Oh, and with Meg White being all good and Jack feeling the mood, another Stripes album is well on its way ! YAY !! Other than The White Stripes, though, Jack's busy with The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, and also getting his producing firm moving. He is a busy man with a brain and body that follows it. He gets albums recorded in days and then surges on in his own meteor-speed pace.
3) Finally, Jack White claims that Meg White is his sister, but that's totally a lie. Divorce papers hit the world back in 2002. His current wife (and probably also the lead singer of the band he is producing at the moment) is Karen Elson !! And below us is a wonderful editorial with both of them.

Jack quotes about not working half-way and always giving his full:
"That's what Priscilla Presley said about Elvis; he never did anything half-way -- if he bought you a present, he bought you a fucking Cadillac."

rinko

Rinko Kikuchi in a beauty editorial. She's a sweet actress. Fell in love with her in Brothers Bloom (my eternal love, Adrien Brody, also starrs alongside). She appeared in Babel before Brothers Bloom; Babel being her first international flick where she gained attention. Below is another page in a Japanese hair magazine. I LOVE the top right bob. WISH I CAN CHOP MY HAIR LIKE THAT !! But I'm currently enjoying my long hair teehehe.

yuri

Meet male model, Yuri Pleskun, from Brooklyn, USA. He has taken over my world recently through a couple of editorials. To be honest, after checking out his tfs thread and The Fashionisto's posts.. I love him too too much for what he is. His personality, his variety of poses and expressions, and his acuteness. He speaks slow and all, but his answers are intelligent and so are his deep light blue eyes. He also.. always reminds me of sushi. Does this sound weird !? He just has this sashimi aura....... err. yeah. So moving, on. YURI IS THE SHIT.

This is why one reads

Men's NONNO. Plus I guess other Japanese magazines. Because they inspire you to the max.. There was even a spread about COOKING. This ain't a fashion magazine nor a lifestyle magazine. It's basically one that covers everything from music to literature to fashion to food to city life. It is everything in one BIBLE-LIKE MAGAZINE that one should read faithfully month to month. If Men's NONNO disappears from my life, I wouldn't know where to go. Funny. I don't even understand Japanese.. and am also not a man.. why am I so gung-ho about this all !? LOL.

THERE WERE MANY PAGES OF DELICIOUS LOOKING SMALL-PORTIONED JAPANESE FUSION FOOD. Here's a cut of the one I likeyed the mosty. Teehee. I'm really into raw eggs.

These shots are from other Japanese magazines that I racked into my knowledge base including, Fudge, Zipper, HighFashion, Men's Joker, AnOther Man.. I believe that to be all...... hopefully. Ahahhaa.

Some white on white exposure lookbook shots.

It's all about the patterns. I like the floral harem capris right there in the center. Pair that one up with the blue blazer underneath then a long RAINCOAT on top would fit the weather perfectly here at Vancouver. UGH. It's June 2nd btw. We're scheduled for THUNDER SHOWERS this afternoon.

I thought the clothes he were wearing made him look too hot. My ideal man would wear all four outfits Monday, Tuesday, skip Wednesday for rest, Thursday, and freaky Friday.

Men's Nonno is so simple. It outlines which sort of hoodies to buy from where for how much. But I guess I focus more on this innocent-looking too cute of an Asian boy model. Other scans below shows MANY PIECES to choose from. This is when you play that game: IF YOU CAN GET ANY FROM THIS PAGE WHICH YA WAAANT ?????? It's the best game when reading magazines. It's engaging !!

So the above tells you about how to put on great outfits and then they have few editorials here and there scattered about in the magazine to show you the outfits. AREN'T THEY THE MOST SCRUMPTIOUS AND EASY-TO-WEAR MENSWEAR !?!???!?!

What blonde has looked this cute playing a fake miniature piano !? If I did that.. People would proceed to tell me to get a life. Plus, check out those sweet lacy gloves in the second picture. For some reason, they seem REALLY SEXY to me. +0+ !!

Okay. That's enough for a day. I've got more. Those will be up sometime later. I've recovered from the loss of many pictures (RIP) and have moved on by spending mad times with friends. My mother sort of disapproves of my lifestyle these days telling me that I am QUITE UNPRODUCTIVE. Maybe that sparked sth in me inside to post THIS.
Other than that, I made a gmail account last night on a whim after getting much criticism from the world for using hotmail. I mean what's wrong with hotmail !? Whatevs. So when I feel like moving on with my life.. I will make an official switch, but til then. Hotmail will continue on. :D :D :D

Asian Flashbacks

Summer's here. Check out G-Dragon, one of my favourite Koreans.

Summer's here. Check out Vogue Nippon and their tasty editorials. Tasty meaning delicious to my eyes. Vogue Nippon produces the editorials that I end up referring back to for whatever the reason, unlike Vogue US which produces boring ones - usually.
Editorial's called, Just the Two of Us.

STREET SNAPS. The thing that really riles me up is the fact that even though I gave my all studying Japanese this past year, I forgot so much kanji that I can't even read anything much. I thought I'd be able to. FML.

MODEL LOVES: SHU PEI + LIU WEN (More Liu to be posted later)

DAZED AND CONFUSED JAPAN.. Thomas Penhouse shot by Ben Toms. Menswear is not my guilty pleasure, it is my very explicit pleasure. I think I enjoy reading GQ way more than NYLON. No offense to Nylon lovers, but I feel as if Nylon is the same issue reprinted every month. BO-ring.
PS. This male model, Penhouse, hurts me with his bony beauty. I love him. He makes the hard-cut suits look so delicate.

And on the way back from my friend's today (we played RockBand 2 + Mario + MarioKart ALL DAY LONG ..and ate like pigs, too) we talked about Slamdunk. This got me all pumped up for manga reading, so as soon as I entered my house, I super-glued my ass to my chair and read Bakuman to save yet another page featuring my 2D love, NIIZUMA EIJI !! LOVE THIS CHARACTER. He plays with toy figurines and is a genius, need I say more !?
